Lighting diagram for “Undercover”

Self explanatory this one… Single flash from my “seated” right about 8-10 feet away means hard shadows. Not too high, maybe chest height so shadows land in all the right places 🙂

  1. Lighting is usually my biggest hurdle. Sometimes I can ‘spot’ when the natural light is really good, but other times … Let’s just say there’s quite a bit of trial and error when I take my pictures. Trying to work out how to light a specific shot at the moment; it’s proving to be a challenge.

    • Best way to learn is to DO! I usually have an idea of how I want a pic to look . For me, I like shadows… Contrast between dark and light… So I know that if that’s what I want I need to either create light or shadow areas in the bits that I want them in. This is where “off camera flash” comes in!
